Found close to the Glen Affric NNR our cosy log cabin has been traditionally built on our 400 acre estate. It is set in a secluded spot overlooking a lovely lochan where eagles, kites, red squirrels and other animals visit from time to time throughout the year.

Accommodation: Luxurious accommodation provided with a wood-burning stove, open style living room with cathedral roof, full kitchen facilities, dining area, 3 bedrooms and outdoor decked veranda. Fresh towels, linen and a welcome pack await those looking for total relaxation in surroundings where life and nature are at peace with one another.

Mellness Forest Lodge 3Wildlife: Our forest has been managed in such a way as to encourage wildlife by creating large open spaces and providing the habitat required by our native species. From the lodge you have every chance of seeing red, roe and sika deer, red squirrels, pine martens, foxes and a diverse range of birds including golden eagles, buzzards, greater spotted woodpeckers, crossbills, tree creepers and tawny owls.
From our doorstep you will find numerous walks and cycle rides along forest trails and long distance paths including one to the Plodda Falls at Tomich where you will also find some of the tallest trees in the country.

Activities: With 3 spectacular local glens to explore the area offers superb walking, cycling, pony trekking, bird spotting and photography - the autumn colours are world renown. Accompanied deer stalking and guided walks can be provided in the forest and trout & salmon fishing can be arranged locally. Nearby, Loch Ness and the Beauly Firth offer boat trips and dolphin spotting. .

Prices: range from £300 low season to £650 High season
