All routes are circular. The first run is an 8 mile hilly loop, which takes you through some good peaty hill bog for about a mile, and a river crossing, to approx 1500ft above sea level, with revitalising views over Glen Affric after about 5 miles. Kintail Mountain Rescue will man the river crossing with ropes, providing a hand hold should the river be in full flow. The cycle is not suitable for road bikes, although the first 5 miles are on tarmac. After that, it is onto fairly rough forestry roads, for a beautiful loop around Dog Falls and Loch Benevean amongst the stunning natural Caledonian Pine forest that Glen Affric has become famous for. Undulating but not outrageuos or technical. Then it's onto the final 2.5 mile run, half on tarmac and half through the woodland alongside river Affric. This final run is not suitable for running in cycle cleats.

Relay entries accepted. Prizes to first 3 man relay team.
