Pony Trekking....

Highland Trekking & Trail Riding is situated at the remote settlement of Cougie (NH242212), ten miles from the village of Cannich, close to the Glen Afric Nature Reserve. It is set amidst stunning scenery assuring our visitors of a memorable and tranquill experience. We can cater for riders of all ages and levels of experience. We are fully approved and have seven loveable Highland Ponies of excellent temperament, that enjoy the treks just as much as our visitors.

Treks can vary from as little as 1/2 hour to two hours. We are also pleased to offer half-day and full-day treks. If you are interested in long distance trekking or overnight camping trips please contact us for further details. For visitors waiting for riders to return from their trek, there is a large woodland garden with seats and picnic tables. Children can be kept amused by our ducks, hens, rabbits and guinea pigs - always happy to be fed!

Close by, there are ample opportunities to enjoy walks in the open countryside or woodland. Watch out for our wide variety of wildlife. Try and spot a crossbill or goldcrest, or watch for butterflies and dragonflies.
