Shenval Organic Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

Set in a beautiful, peaceful rural setting near Corrimony RSPB Reserve, Shenval organic B&B was built on the site of a prehistoric hut, the remnants of which are still visible in our garden. The house is surrounded by a totally organic flower, fruit and vegetable garden which is a haven for wildlife of all kinds.

We offer three cosy, bright and tastefully decorated bedrooms at reasonable prices. They all overlook our peaceful garden and neighbouring forest and hills.

Enjoy our delicious organic cuisine with a French touch. We use organic, local and fair trade produce whenever possible. Try our home made organic breads and jams. Optional dinners are available as well, featuring Scottish, French, continental and oriental dishes. We cater for vegetarians, vegans and special diets too.

We endeavour to minimize our impact on the environment and to encourage green tourism. Our house is now fully double-glazed and insulated and centrally-heated by a wood pellet stove. Recycling, composting, energy and water saving along with the use of eco-friendly cleaning products and organic produce are all everyday practices at Shenval B&B.

Make the most of our extensive local knowledge and of our thirty years experience of hillwalking in the Highlands of Scotland. The area is a paradise for nature lovers and activities such as walking, wildlife and bird watching, cycling, hillwalking, canoeing, pony trekking and fishing we can readily advise on.

Shenval Bed&Breakfast is also an ideal touring base to visit the Scottish Highlands, with Ben Nevis and Glencoe, the Isle of Skye, the Cairngorms National Park, the North-West Highland coast and the Whisky Trail all within 2 hours drive. There is a wealth of outdoor events, entertainment and general sightseeing (castles, whisky distilleries, museums, cruises…) we can recommend. Just ask us!

In the evening, unwind in your own bedroom, maybe with the company of a book picked up from our well-stocked bookshelves. Or join us in our sitting-room for a friendly chat by the fireside and gain an off-the-beaten track insight into the natural and human history of the Highlands of Scotland.
